Software that controls X-ray imaging devices
to acquire images at any timing
We develop control software that acquires images at any timing with a wide variety of X-ray imaging devices, each consisting of an X-ray tube and a flat panel detector (FPD). By precisely synchronizing the tube exposure with the FPD image acquisition and imaging at the required timing and intervals, the software flexibly meets diverse clinical requirements.
The software is designed to be easy to integrate regardless of the manufacturer or device configuration, and can be used to control the different X-ray imaging devices found at each facility — ceiling-mounted, rotating gantry, or floor-mounted two-directional systems. It is useful for controlling the X-ray imaging devices used in a wide range of treatment protocols such as CBCT, tumor tracking, and patient positioning.
Imaging control at any timing
In radiation therapy, the required imaging interval and timing differ greatly depending on the treatment protocol. Through cooperation with external signals and treatment devices, this software executes the tube exposure and the FPD image acquisition at any interval and timing. It flexibly handles everything from evenly spaced continuous imaging to irregular timing that matches internal motion such as respiration.
Used in a wide range of treatment protocols
CBCT imaging
X-ray images are continuously acquired from multiple directions during rotation to reconstruct a 3D CBCT image. Accurate timing control synchronized with the rotation angle supports the acquisition of high-quality reconstructed images.
Tumor tracking
Real-time X-ray fluoroscopic images are acquired during treatment to track the tumor position inside the body. Imaging at any timing matched to respiratory motion supports highly accurate respiratory-gated irradiation.
Patient positioning
X-ray images are acquired from two directions and matched with the planning CT to correct the patient's positional error. Synchronizing two X-ray imaging devices enables reliable positioning.
